Academy Studios created new exhibits for the Elizabeth
Prothro Pavilion, the Ruby N. Priddy Butterfly
Conservatory and a surrounding 15 acres
comprised of wetlands, bird habitats, weather
station and butterfly garden.
The new exhibits encourage both indoor and outdoor activities, from the interactive Discovery Room to nature trails, to close-up encounters with live butterflies. Interpretive shelters at four ecological sites indoors teach visitors the beauty and complexity of the Texas rolling plains and the importance of preserving this vanishing natural heritage.
