Installation at the Smithsonian

The
Visible Conservation Center at the
Smithsonian American Art Museum will open to the public on July 4th, 2006. In the meantime, our install crew has been on site to place exhibit elements and graphics. The exhibit design encourages visitors to see these masterpieces from a different perspective -- that of the conservation staff. Labels point out the differences in the artwork that has been conserved and that which hasn't. A 40-foot long media wall (show in the image above) introduces us to the amazing people who are working to preserve American history. All the exhibitry will highlight the behind-the-scenes view of the conservation process.
